We are pleased to announce, we will be hosting provincial A 3 day cricket match between Central Districts and Wellington at Donnelly Park on 20-22 January. This will be a fabulous opportunity to witness some first class talent and aspiring professional cricketers from both major associations.Game starts everyday at 10.30 am and its free entrance.

Board Changes at HKCA

Junior Representative Roles
HKCA are seeking expressions of interest for the roles of Manager and Coach for each of our Junior rep teams. These are U11, U13, U15, U17 teams. The HKCA committee will confirm appointments following the closing date for application which is Tuesday 20th June.
The roles include pre-season winter training programmes and pre- tournament games leading up to each team’s respective tournament which coach and manager expected to attend. We also ask that the appointees continue through to end of next season, Including post tournament games in February & March under each age group calendar.

HMC HKCA Senior Selectors 2017/18
Please join us in congratulating Arne Murray and Paul Pinfold in becoming the HKCA Senior Selectors for this coming season.Paul, based in the North is a current member of the HKCA Masters and is well known to the HKCA set up. Paul will also continue with his role as our HK Senior Men's Manager. Arne, based in the South has worn the red cap with pride having represented our HK Senior Men's side in the past.
Both Paul and Arne are excited about the opportunity and are looking forward to getting around the grounds and communicating with our growing talent pool. Our High Performance Coach, Ramesh Subasinghe will complete the selection panel. This seasons Senior Selection policy is currently being worked on and will be shared with all parties once finalized in the coming weeks.
Paraparaumu Cricket Club take triple crown
Paraparaumu cricket club beat Wanagnui United cricket club by 26 runs to win the Gary Spooner &Dennis Aldridge Coastal Challenge Trophy. Batting first PCC scored 159 all out and in reply Wanganui United could only managed to score 133 runs. This is the first time a Horowhenuwa- Kapiti team has won the Coastal Challenge.
Paraparaumu cricket club also won the Horowenua Kapiti cricket 50 over competition No play was possible in the weekend and PCC was elect winner been the top qualifier. Paraparumu 23.85 , Levin Old Boys 13.22 , Weraroa 11.09 and Kapiti Old Boys 2 points.
Paraparaumu Cricket Club also added the prestigious Hugh Hall Shield to their trophy cabinet beating Levin Old Boys.A couple of individual performances of note were Ryan Taylor scoring a ton when his team was in trouble early on. Sean Windle taking 7 wickets for 42 runs to help PCC dismiss LOB for 210 in their first innings.

Caleb O'Connell makes CD U17's
HKCA is proud to announce that Caleb O'Çonnell has made the Central Districts U17 side. Caleb will be heading to Christchurch to take part in the National tournament from January 13th to 21st. Caleb has worked exceptionally hard over the last 6 months and deserves this opportunity.
HKCA PAIR OFF TO REPRESENT CD AT U19 NATIONAL TOURNAMENT.
All the hard work has paid off for Liam Pinfold and Fraser Bartholomew as both have been selected in a 13 man squad to represent Central Districts at the National Champs.
Both the boys started training in the Winter and completed a grueling 12 week Strength and Conditioning programme with local gym Shapeshifters. They attended every specialist coaching session held over winter and more recently have been working extremely hard with our High Performance Coach Ramesh Subasinghe.
Producing talented young quicks seem to be an ongoing thing for Levin Old Boys C.C as our most recent first class players have both been from the boys club.
Our systems and processes at HKCA continue to evolve and improve. I am very proud that these two lads have been able to make the most of there opportunities.
